Dr. Tareq Beck is a board-certified implantologist and periodontist specializing in full-mouth dental implant solutions, including All-on-X. Certified by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Board of Periodontology—a distinction held by fewer than 20% of U.S. periodontists—Dr Beck is highly regarded for his advanced training and expertise in restoring smiles, function, and confidence.
He completed three years of postgraduate education and clinical research at Saint Louis University, followed by extensive coursework and implant-focused research at Harvard Dental School. Committed to staying on the leading edge of implantology, he continues to pursue advanced continuing education and training in the latest techniques and technologies.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Beck is passionate about teaching and mentoring. He regularly lectures and trains other doctors on implant dentistry through the California Implant Institute and the UNC Adams School of Dentistry. His goal is not only to deliver life-changing results to his patients, but also to shape the future of implant care by educating the next generation of clinicians.
Dr. Beck earned his Certificate and Master of Science degree in Periodontics from Saint Louis University (SLU), receiving his training at SLU’s Center for Advanced Dental Education (CADE), the esteemed multi-specialty dental program that offers Endodontics, Orthodontics, and Periodontics. He is also a former faculty member of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry and current faculty member of California Dental Implant Institution.
As a Board-Certified Periodontist and Implantologist, Dr. Beck is honored to have been awarded the title of Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, which less than 20% of Periodontists in the United States attain. A Diplomate is a Periodontist who has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty and is certified by the American Board of Periodontology after passing extensive written and oral examinations.
Dr. Beck is proficient in all aspects of Periodontics and has a special interest in the field of Dental Implantology. His memberships include the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, American Board of Periodontology, Midwest Society of Periodontology, Texas Dental Association, Greater Houston Dental Society, and Doctors Without Borders.

This is primarily due to the difficulty of the surgical procedure and its potential complications. Patient selection, patient preparation for surgery, precise surgical techniques and postoperative management are the key factors in reducing the rate of bone graft complications.
To predictably achieve successful bone augmentation angiogenesis, clot stability and space maintenance should be employed. In an attempt to achieve wound closure and hence graft stability, the buccal mucosa are often broadly released, and this often results in a severe apical translocation of the mucogingival line, loss of vestibule and keratinized mucosa (KM).
The detailed surgical anatomy of the floor of the mouth, the Modified Lingual Flap as well as the technique for protecting the mental nerve will be presented in detail. Recent research of the SAUSAGE TECHNIQUE as well as minimally invasive soft tissue reconstruction will be presented.
The Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique (PST), invented and patented by John Chao, DDS, MAGD, is a scalpel-free, suture-free procedure for correcting gum recession. Through a small hole made by a needle, Dr. Chao uses specially designed instruments to gently loosen the gum tissue and glide it over the receded part of the tooth. Since there is no cutting or stitching, patients can expect minimal post-operative symptoms (pain, swelling and bleeding). Most patients also are pleasantly surprised by the instant cosmetic improvement.

Dr. Chao was granted patents and trademarks on the PST method and PST instruments by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
